Muhammad Hasan Morshed, a renowned Bangladeshi artist and educator, is celebrated for his mastery in watercolor, installations, and video art. With solo exhibitions held in Iran and Uganda, Morshed garnered international acclaim, notably winning the top painting prize at the 18th International Festival of Visual Arts for Young Artists in Iran in 2011. Born on January 11, 1985, in Rangpur, Bangladesh, Morshed inherited his artistic talent from his father, artist Qamrul Hasan Qalon, and began his career at the age of 12 as an illustration artist for a daily newspaper. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2005 and his Master of Fine Arts in 2009 from the University of Dhaka. Morshed’s accolades include national and international awards from Bangladesh, Iran, and Morocco. He has held solo exhibitions at prestigious venues such as the National Press Club in Dhaka and the Makerere Art Gallery in Kampala. Additionally, Morshed has participated in group exhibitions worldwide, showcasing his work in Norway, the Netherlands, Canada, and Bangladesh. As a visiting academic, he conducted watercolor workshops at Nagenda and Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.
